Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between biweekly and semimonthly?
Biweekly means paid every 2 weeks (26 paychecks/year). Semimonthly means paid twice a month on specific dates (24 paychecks/year). At the same per-paycheck amount, biweekly pay means 2 more paychecks per year.
How do I convert hourly to annual salary?
Annual salary = hourly rate × 40 hours/week × 52 weeks/year. For example, $25/hour = $52,000/year before taxes.
Does this account for overtime?
No, this uses standard 40-hour work weeks. Overtime would increase the actual annual amount beyond the converted figure.
